Setup
The area comprises rugged terrain, lofty peaks, formidable
glaciers, singing streams and beautiful lakes, characterize the region. Until
recent past Baltistan was a single District comprised of four sub-Division of
Skardu, Khaplu, Kharmang, Roundu & Daghoni. With the revival of Ghanche
Mashabrum Sub-Division. Baltistan was divided into two districts and one
division.
