Terms

The origin terms of Harib was tied to current events of any particular time, and the condition for annotating pieces varied from successful escapade of hunting remembrance of tours to other places, fends between clans and such like, particularly in the case of folk songs. Bam is a war tune, but these tune and music, now came to an end in Baltistan.

Harib

Harib

The word Harib derived from the Persian word harib meaning (War) which literality means tune (Dun) it is a kind of local classical music. There are about sixty kinds of Haribs in Baltistan which locally known as Harib such as, Nobat, Yaga, Doga, Sega, Ushawq, Basan etc. very few haribs game was composed locally.
